What are hemorrhoids?
These are swellings or lumps that grow inside the anus walls and around the anus opening.

Scope of Hemroids
  • It is very widespread - over 50% of people suffer from this disease.
  • It can affect anyone no matter the age.
  • Obese people, pregnant women and the elderly are more prone to it.
Factors contributing to hemorrhoids development
  • Chronic constipation.
  • Overweight.
  • Poor diet, lacking in fibre, and insufficient water or fluids in the body.
  • Lack of physical exercise and body movement - prolonged sitting.
  • Hard labour, lifting heavy loads.
  • Pregnancy.
Signs of Hemroids
  • Blood stained stool.
  • Swollen veins and lumps inside and around the anus.
  • Anal tissue protruding from the anus, especially during bowel movement.
  • Itching and inflammation of the anus.
Types of Hemroids
There are basically two types of hemroids, namely internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. Internal hemroids grow inside the anus and may start protruding or hanging out of it during advanced stages of the disease.
External hemroids on the other hand form outside the anus opening.
